The boy child continues to reel from the pressure being exerted by girls in national examinations as they were outperformed in both KCPE and the just-released KCSE.
In the top 10 list, 6 girls featured, with the first 2 positions being grabbed by girls. Only 4 boys featured in the list.
Education cabinet secretary Fred Matiang'i observed that more girls qualified for university admission than boys in this year's results.
